Opportunities For Landlords

They served for us.
Help us give each Veteran and his or her family a place to call home.

Do Good: Housing a Veteran is a unique opportunity to become an active participant in a hero’s support system and assist an individual who has served and defended our country.

Support Systems Are in Place: All housing subsidies available to Veterans include ongoing supportive case-management. This means that all Veteran lessees have round-the-clock support from a social worker who is trained in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, and other areas to ensure effective communication between the Veteran and the landlord. Social workers make sure that Veterans have the supports that they need to successfully maintain housing, thereby mitigating risk for the landlord.

Guaranteed Income: You’ll see reliable monthly rental payments for the fair market rent on your property. If you’re a landlord with the HUD-VASH program, you’ll receive checks directly from the local housing authority. If you house a Veteran through a non-profit housing & support services program, you’ll receive checks from the organization that provides the program.
